A day in the life…
Lydia and I are in the middle of week 8 of maternity leave. With Lydia, every day is different, but here was our day yesterday. Poor grammar is deliberate.
Sarah is an adventurer at heart, with many titles, most frequently: wife, mama, and engineer.

I just found out this evening that a dear friend and inspiration, Kathleen Lundy, was murdered in Huntsville, AL. The WHNT article and 48 WAFF say that police are still looking for the shooter.
In the days leading up to and right after Lydia’s birth, while we were mostly occupied with other things, my dear sister Joan and her family were here for a visit! Before Lydia’s birth, we were able to do a few dinners with family and walk over to the nearby park one evening. Then, the […]
After being in Irvine for about 6 months, we’re starting to feel more settled. However, as predicted, Lydia has successfully un-settled us… in a good way! As we eagerly await Lydia’s return home, and especially now that things have been looking “up,” I’m feeling ready to share Friday’s birth story. Here it goes!
We are at day 5 and it appears we will pass by all the cousin birthdays!
So, we are at Due Date +1. Baby’s arrival is still pending. With arrival imminent, we’ve set up a last-minute guessing pool…
